Kabir was a 15th century Indian mystic and poet. He questioned the meaningless and unethical practices of all religions.
Kabir taught some of the principles of Simple Reality. He suggested that Truth is with the person who is on the path of righteousness and who is passively detached from the affairs of the world. He considered everything, living and non living, as divine. To know the Truth, suggested Kabir, drop the “I” or the ego.
Path presupposes distance;
If He be near, no path needest thou at all.
Verily it maketh me smile
To hear of a fish in water athirst!
