Current Event #130 “First the Bad News,” using the metaphor of the Titanic, noted that our species was intent on going down with the ship. Most of us don’t seem interested in changing our behavior even though it is catastrophically self-destructive. And what’s more, we have been over several millennia offered alternative worldviews, identities and behaviors by many insightful sages that could change the direction that most of us know ends in disaster.
In other words, as individuals we choose whether to climb into the lifeboats or to go down with the ship. We have the power to choose our own destiny. Now that’s good news.
