Astrology illustrates how the illusion of P-B works. In looking for reality in the world of form we often project our own illusions “out there” and then attribute meaning to our own projections that are mirrored back to us. That meaning, however, will not be profoundly understood until we become self-reliant and take responsibility for our own process of experiencing Simple Reality. Illusions constructed by the human intellect are infinitely complex; reality is astonishingly simple. Jungian psychologist Laurens Van der Post described astrology this way: “[Astrology] was a projected form of psychology, an attempt of antiquity by the way of the instinctive attitude of seeking for a new truth in its reflection in the mirror of the world about us.”[i]
